To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 9-4 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the semifinals of the 2021 GSOC Masters in Oakville, Ontario; and won 5-4 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2021 GSOC Masters in Oakville, Ontario;
Jacobs finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Yuta Matsumura (Kitami, JPN) 5-3, then went on to lose 5-4 against Koe. Jacobs responded with a 6-4 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Jacobs won 5-4 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the GSOC Masters, Jacobs take home 66.815 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 21.526 after improving upon their best so far this season. Jacobs ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 118.507 points earned so far this season.
