Can Gushue Four Peat?
![]() Newfoundland and Labrador's Brad Gushue (photo: Curling Canada) can make Canadian History by winning his seventh Brier Title as a skip in Kelowna, British Columbia. By Connor Simms, Brad Gushue with Mark Nichols at third, Brendan Bottcher and Geoff Walker on the front end will look to make it four in a row at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. Gushue has an opportunity that no other skip in the Men's or Women's game has. He is looking to add his seventh title, and right now, he is joined by Coleen Jones and Jennifer Jones at six. Nichols and Walker also have this legacy, being with Gushue for all six of their Brier wins. The three have been on the dominant run in Canadian Curling history, winning six of the last eight Briers and titles in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Bottcher will look to add his second Brier title, winning the 2021 Brier as a skip in Calgary, Alberta. They will open the 2025 Montana's Brier against Newfoundland and Labrador's Ty Dilello at 11:00 p.m. Newfoundland Time (NT). On Saturday, they will face British Columbia's Cameron De Jong at 11:00 p.m. NT. On Sunday, they face Northern Ontario's John Epping at 6:00 pm NT, and on Monday, they face Manitoba's Reid Carruthers at 11:00 pm NT. They will take on New Brunswick's James Grattan at 6:00 pm NT on Tuesday. Wednesday is their lone two-game day as they will face Alberta's Kevin Koe at 1:00 pm NT and Nunavut's Shane Latimer at 11:00 pm NT. In their final round robin game, they will face Manitoba's Matt Dunstone at 6:00 pm NT. The top three teams in each pool will move on to the playoffs. The one-seeds will face the two seeds for a spot in Saturday's 1-2 page playoff game. The game's losers will move on to play the three seeds for a place in Saturday's 3-4 place playoff game. The winner of the 1-2 page playoff game will advance to Sunday's finals, when the loser will face the winner of the 3-4 page playoff game in the semi-finals.
