Last week, they played in the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic. Homan lost 8-1 in the semi-final. Although the semi-final is still a good result, this marked the first final Homan missed in an event since the 2023-2024 season. This week, they are at the AMJ Masters. Last season at the Masters, Homan went 5-2, losing the final to Sweden's Anna Hasselborg. In their opening game, they took on Alberta's Kayla Skrlik won the opening draw to the button for the hammer. After a blank in the first end, Homan made a freeze against three Skrlik stones on her last, forcing Kayla to a tough tap, in which she was heavy, giving up a steal of one. Skrlik found the first deuce in the third end, drawing to the side of the button. Homan bounced back with a deuce after a lightweight hit a stick. In the fifth end, Skrlik was forced to their single point, making a draw to the eight-foot. Homan brought the magic in the sixth end, making a double for their deuce to take a 5-3 lead. Skrlik nosed the blank attempt in the seventh end. Homan made the two-foot slash for the 7-4 victory. In their next game, they will face Sweden's Isabella Wrana on Wednesday at 3:30 pm Eastern Time (ET). On Thursday, they will face Japan's Sayaka Yoshimura at 3:30 pm ET. Their final round robin game will take place on Friday in the crossover game, which is still to be determined. It will be determined by how they rank after their first three games.
