Dunstone Leads CTRS Ahead of Montanas Brier
![]() Manitoba's Matt Dunstone (photo: Curling Canada) opens the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia, against Alberta's Kevin Koe on Friday night live on TSN. By Connor Simms, #1 in the Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) Matt Dunstone with Colton Lott at third, E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden on the front end leads the way of the Brier field. Dunstone and Lott will look to grab their first career Brier title. Their best finish came in 2023, when they lost the final to Newfoundland's Brad Gushue. E.J. Harnden will look to grab his fourth title and his third straight, winning the last two seasons with Gushue, who was part of the team that defeated Dunstone in 2023. Ryan Harnden will look to add his second Brier title, winning the 2013 Brier with his brother E.J. and the former Brad Jacobs rink. They will open the 2025 Montana's Brier in the TSN Feature Game against Alberta's Kevin Koe at 8:30 pm Central Time (CT). On Saturday, they will go against Nunavut's Shane Latimer at 8:30 pm CT. On Sunday, they will face British Columbia's Cameron De Jong at 3:30 pm CT; on Monday, they will face Northern Ontario's John Epping at 10:30 am CT. They continue Round Robin on Tuesday against Newfoundland and Labrador's Ty Dilello at 3:30 p.m. CT. On Wednesday, they have their lone two-game day through round robin, facing New Brunswick's James Grattan at 10:30 a.m. CT and 8:30 p.m. CT against Manitoba's Reid Carruthers. They wrap up round robin on Thursday against Canada's Brad Gushue at 3:30 pm CT. The top three teams in each pool will then move on to the playoffs. The one-seeds will face the two seeds for a spot in Saturday's 1-2 page playoff game. The game's losers will move on to play the three seeds for a place in Saturday's 3-4 page playoff game. The winner of the 1-2 page playoff game will advance to Sunday's finals, when the loser will face the winner of the 3-4 page playoff game in the semi-finals.
