Jacobs went on to lose 7-6 against Gushue. Jacobs responded with a 7-5 win over Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB). Jacobs won 7-3 against Koe, then won 9-5 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 12-5 against Tanner Horgan (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
