Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 4-3 over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT) in the Final Gushue advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round.

Gushue finished 7-1 in the 9 team Tim Hortons Curling Trials qualifying round, held November 20 - 28, 2021 in , . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) 6-4, then won 7-3 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) and 8-6 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Gushue won 7-6 against Jacobs, then won 9-4 against Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Gushue went on to lose 7-6 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB). Gushue responded with a 10-1 win over Tanner Horgan (Kingston, ON). Gushue won 6-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Tim Hortons Curling Trials Championship title, Gushue earned 101.234 world rankings points. Gushue move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 49.89 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 1st overall with 442.466 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gushue ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 244.593 points earned so far this season.
