Yang/Ling lost 9-3 to Therese Westman/Robin Ahlberg (Stockholm, SWE) where Yang/Ling responded with a 8-5 win over Tilde Vermelin/Fabian Wingfors (Uppsala, SWE). Yang/Ling went on to lose 6-5 against Hui Yan/Cheng Kuo (Beijing, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
Yang/Ling earned 8.292 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 668th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 20.042 total points. Yang/Ling ranks 54th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 20.042 points earned so far this season.
