Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 8-7 to Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) in the Final of the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, held October 23 - 28, 2018 in Truro, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 6-3 over Chelsea Carey (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia; and won 8-3 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia;
 
Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Tracy Fleury (Winnipeg, MB) 6-2, then won 8-7 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) and 8-1 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Homan went on to lose 6-5 against Kaitlyn Jones (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, Homan take home 64.939 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 506.295 total points. Homan ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 208.460 points earned so far this season.
