Joanne Courtney/Reid Carruthers (Edmonton, AB) finished 2-3 in the 25 team Canad Inns Mixed Doubles Championship qualifying round, held November 16 - 19, 2018 at the Portage Curling Club in Portage La Prairie, Canada. In their opening game, Courtney/Carruthers defeated Kimberly Tuck/Wayne Tuck Jr. (Ilderton, ON) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-3 against Jolene Campbell/Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK). Courtney/Carruthers responded with a 9-8 win over Nicole Westlund Stewart/Tyler Stewart (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Courtney/Carruthers went on to lose 9-6 against Ashley Groff/Kyle Doering (Winnipeg, MB). Courtney/Carruthers lost 8-2 to Nancy Martin/Tyrel Griffith (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 14 of the event schedule, Courtney/Carruthers did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Courtney/Carruthers ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
