To advance to the championship game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz won 7-3 over Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2016 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 6-3 over Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta;
 
Alberta's Nadine Chyz finished 3-1 in the 22-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz lost 5-3 to Geri-Lynn Ramsay (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 5-4 win over Northwest Territories's Kerry Galusha.
