Jason Ackerman (Regina, SK) lost 5-3 to Mick Lizmore (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held October 23 - 26, 2015 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Ackerman won 8-2 over Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR) in the semifinals of the 2015 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 8-6 over Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ackerman finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ackerman defeated Glen Hanson (Edmonton, AB) 6-3, then won 6-5 against Kim and 7-5 against Jeremy Harty (Calgary, AB). Ackerman won 6-5 against Sean Geall (New Westminster , BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Red Deer Curling Classic, Ackerman take home 28.122 world rankings points along with the $7,000CDN prize, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 66th place overall with 48.559 total points. Ackerman ranks 42nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.789 points earned so far this season.
