Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) won 6-5 over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Red Deer Curling Classic, held November 14 - 17, 2014 in Red Deer, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Heidt won 5-1 over Grant Dezura (Maple Ridge, BC) in the semifinals of the 2014 Red Deer Curling Classic in Red Deer, Alberta; and won 7-4 over Brock Virtue (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Heidt finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heidt defeated Chris Baier (Victoria, BC) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Virtue and 6-5 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB). Heidt won 5-4 against Dustin Eckstrand (Red Deer, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Red Deer Curling Classic Championship title, Heidt earned 12.250 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 25.650 total points. Heidt ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 12.250 points earned so far this season.
