Gushue won 6-5 against Peter de Cruz (Geneva, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Baden Masters Championship title, Gushue earned 24.360 world rankings points along with the $12,469CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 171.985 total points. Gushue ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.360 points earned so far this season.
