Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND) run at the 2025 USA Curling National Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Elizabeth Cousins (Nashua, NH). of the 2025 USA Curling National Championships in Duluth, Minnesota;
McMakin finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McMakin defeated Allory Johnson (Blaine, MN) 8-6, then won 12-6 against Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) and 14-6 against Cousins. McMakin won 11-5 against Courtney Benson (Duluth, MN), then won 9-1 against Tabitha Peterson (St. Paul, MN). McMakin went on to lose 9-7 against Allie Giroux (Chaska, MN). McMakin responded with a 9-3 win over Kim Rhyme (Minneapolis, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
McMakin earned 19.125 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the USA Curling National Championships. McMakin move up 11 spots after posting a net gain of 3.101 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 46th overall with 61.063 total points on the World Ranking Standings. McMakin ranks 46th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 61.063 points earned so far this season.
