A two-win day by Team Canada on Tuesday has them in the mix to top the round robin for a second straight year at the LGT World Women's Curling Championship in Uijeongbu, South Korea. In the morning, the Canadian lineup of Homan, Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew and Sarah Wilkes battled the United States' Tabitha Peterson (3-3; St. Paul, MN) in an all-North American matchup.

It was a quick start for the team north of the border as Canada converted two of their three hammers in the first half while the United States were forced to one with last rock.

Leading 4-2 at the break, Canada held their advantage throughout the second half, taking another deuce in the eighth to extend their lead to 7-3. After Peterson managed one in the ninth, she was unable to sit three on Homan's last rock in ten, giving the Canadians a solid 8-4 win in their fifth-round robin game.

Back in action in the evening, Canada got out to a fast start against Turkiye's Dilsat Yildiz, stealing one in the first and two in the second to open the scoring.

Looking like another stolen point in the third, Yildiz turned the tables with a highlight reel in-off to score two and get her team back in the game. The Turkish squad then forced Canada to one in the fourth before blanking five with Homan again leading 4-2 at the break.

After trading singles through six and seven, Rachel Homan took care of business in eight with a double takeout to count three more, defeating Turkiye 8-3 to improve to 5-1 in the standings.

Not only are results trending positively for Canada but so too are their percentages. In both games Tuesday, the team shot 93%, their first two games in the 90s. They currently sit second in shooting percentage behind Sweden's Anna Hasselborg by just over 1%.

Current Standings (After Draw 11):

Switzerland (Silvana Tirinzoni): 7-0
Canada (Rachel Homan): 5-1
Korea (Gim Eun-ji): 5-1
Denmark (Madeleine Dupont): 4-2
Sweden (Anna Hasselborg): 4-2
Norway (Marianne Roervik): 4-3
China (Wang Rui): 3-3
United States (Tabitha Peterson): 3-3
Scotland (Sophie Jackson): 3-4
Japan (Sayaka Yoshimura): 2-4
Italy (Stefania Constantini): 2-5
Lithuania (Virginija Paulauskaite): 0-7
Turkiye (Dilsat Yildiz): 0-7

It will be another split day for Team Canada on Wednesday as they play both the morning and night draws. At 8 pm ET Tuesday, the team play Korea's Gim Eun-ji (5-1; Uijeongbu, KOR) to see who will take sole possession of second place in the standings. They will then meet Norway's Marianne Roervik (4-3; Lillehammer, NOR) at 6 am ET Wednesday. Still left to play on Thursday and Friday are Switzerland, Japan, Italy and China.
