Carson responded with a 6-5 win over Kyle Waddell (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
Carson earned 27.625 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Hardie Engineering Scottish Curling Men's Championships, moving up 20 spots the World Ranking Standings into 54th place overall with 60.438 total points.
