Adams Jr. finished 12-5 in the 18-team qualifying round. . Adams Jr. won 6-4 against Andrew Sinclair (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 7-1 against Chris Silver (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. responded with a 6-3 win over Ashley Palmer (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. won 6-3 against Bonot, then won 5-3 against Ben Mikkelsen (Thunder Bay, ON) and 6-1 against Claire Dubinsky (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. won 8-2 against Myles Stevens (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 8-3 against Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. responded with a 6-2 win over Gary Weiss (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 5-4 against Zach Warkentin (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. responded with a 9-5 win over McCarville. Adams Jr. won 5-2 against Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 7-2 against Robyn Despins (Thunder Bay, ON) and 6-0 against Rob Skinner (Thunder Bay, ON). Adams Jr. went on to lose 6-2 against Johnston in their final qualifying round match.
