Mooibroek finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Brad Minogue (North Bay, ON) 10-3, then won 8-5 against Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) and 6-4 against Ainsley in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Mooibroek earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque.
