Advancing directly to the semifinals, Mooibroek won 7-1 over Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON) to advance to the championship game. of the 2023 COMCO Cash Spiel in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada;
Mooibroek finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mooibroek defeated Brad Minogue (North Bay, ON) 10-3, then won 8-5 against Jordan Chandler (Little Current, NONT) and 6-4 against Ainsley in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the COMCO Cash Spiel Championship title, Mooibroek earned 11.250 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque. Mooibroek move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of -2.344 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 28th overall with 124.250 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Mooibroek ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.875 points earned so far this season.
