In their opening game, Ireland's John Wilson defeated Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU) 5-4, then won 6-4 against Nikolov and 9-3 against Liechtenstein's Matt Lukas. Ireland's John Wilson won 6-3 against Andorra's Josep Garcia, then won 7-6 against Allen Coliban (Bucharest, ROU) and 12-3 against Seixeiro. Ireland's John Wilson won 11-2 against Reto Seiler (Sofia, BUL). Ireland's John Wilson went on to lose 7-5 against Alen Cadez (Zagreb, CRO) in their final qualifying round match.
