To advance to the championship game, Desjardins won 8-2 over Mark Kean (Ottawa, ON) in the semifinals of the 2022 Summer Series in St-Felicien, Quebec;
 
Desjardins finished 3-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Desjardins defeated Harold Woods (Accra, NGR) 9-2, then won 9-3 against Andre Desgagnes (Saguenay, QC) and 7-2 against Kean. Desjardins went on to lose 10-5 against Steven Munroe (Saquenay, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Summer Series, Desjardins take home 11.000 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 57.174 total points. Desjardins ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.000 points earned so far this season.
