In their opening game, Shirahata lost 7-2 to Mari Motohashi (Kitami, JPN), droppimg another game, 5-2 to Japan's Momoha Tabata. Shirahata lost 9-5 to Mayu Minami (Sapporo, JPN). Shirahata lost 9-4 to Japan's Mizuki Tmura where Shirahata responded with a 7-6 win over Miyu Tanaka (Obihiro, JPN). Shirahata went on to lose 5-3 against Yuuna Takahashi (Nayoro, JPN). Shirahata responded with a 7-5 win over Azuki Akimoto (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Shirahata earned 0.506 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 101 spots the World Ranking Standings into 252nd place overall with 0.506 total points. Shirahata ranks 217th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.506 points earned so far this season.
