Dwyer/Samsa finished 4-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dwyer/Samsa defeated Lizzie Ford/Jeff D Snover (Traverse City, MI) 7-3, then won 7-5 against Pam Wilson/Steve Emt (Denver, CO) and 5-4 against Ford/Snover. Dwyer/Samsa won 6-5 against Wilson/Emt in their final qualifying round match.
