Vidar Hansen (Hedmarken, NOR) finished 1-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hansen lost 12-1 to Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR), then responded with a 9-0 win over Paul Richardsen (Christiansand, NOR). Hansen went on to lose 10-1 against Mathias Braenden (Lillehammer, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
