Samantha Jones (Endeavor, WI) run at the 2020 USA Junior Women's National Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-3 loss to Delaney Strouse (Midland, MI).
Jones finished 5-2 in the 8 team USA Junior Women's National Championship qualifying round, held January 12 - 18, 2020 at the Eau Claire Curling Club in Eau Claire, United States. In their opening game, Jones defeated DaKotah Crotty (Pardeeville, WI) 11-3, then won 11-8 against Anya Normandeau (Burnsville, MN) and 9-8 against Ariel Traxler (Fairbanks, AK). Jones won 7-4 against Cora Farrell (Fairbanks, AK), then won 8-5 against Christine McMakin (Minneapolis, MN). Jones went on to lose 10-8 against Abbey Kitchens (Devils Lake, ND). Jones lost 9-8 to Strouse in their final qualifying round match.
Jones earned 7.268 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the USA Junior Women's National Championship. For week 26 of the event schedule, Jones did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jones ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
