USA Junior Men's National Championship qualifying round, held January 12 - 18, 2020 at the Eau Claire Curling Club in Eau Claire, United States. In their opening game, Murray lost 7-5 to Benjamin Randall (Janesville, WI), then responded with a 11-7 win over Coleman Thurston (Poynette, WI). Murray went on to lose 8-5 against Chase Sinnett (Medfield, MA). Murray lost 11-6 to Daniel Casper (Briarcliff Manor, NY). Murray lost 8-4 to Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN) where Murray responded with a 7-5 win over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI). Murray went on to lose 6-4 against Luc Violette (Lake Stevens, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Murray earned 1.176 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, Murray did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Murray ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
