Erik Jensen (Oakland, CA) finished 3-3 in the 16 team USA Men's Challenge Round qualifying round, held January 2 - 5, 2020 at the Grand Forks Curling Club in Grand Forks, United States. In their opening game, Jensen defeated Brandon Corbett (Rochester, NY) 9-6, then went on to lose 9-8 against Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA). Jensen responded with a 9-2 win over Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN). Jensen went on to lose 10-5 against Kevin Kakela (Rolla, ND). Jensen responded with a 8-1 win over Nick Myers (Arlington, TX). Jensen went on to lose 10-6 against Steven Birklid (Mountlake Terrace, WA) in their final qualifying round match.

Jensen earned 2.194 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Jensen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jensen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
