Sawiak finished 2-1 in the 0 team North Hill Thanksgiving U18 Bonspiel qualifying round, held October 10 - 13, 2019 at the North Hill Curling Club in Calgary, Canada. In their opening game, Sawiak defeated Josh Kroker (Alberta) 7-4, then won 9-7 against Kenan Wipf (Calgary, AB). Sawiak went on to lose 8-3 against Clarence Cheung (Alberta) in their final qualifying round match.
