Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) won 6-5 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Meridian Canadian Open, held January 14 - 19, 2020 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 6-3 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2020 Meridian Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan; and won 8-4 over Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene , ON) in the quarterfinals.
 
Jacobs finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Howard 7-5, then won 7-3 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) and 5-3 against Korey Dropkin (Chaska, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Meridian Canadian Open Championship title, Jacobs earned 90.492 world rankings points along with the $35,000CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 531.383 total points. Jacobs ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 458.159 points earned so far this season.
