Watling finished 3-1 in the 19 team DEKALB Superspiel qualifying round, held November 2 - 5, 2018 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. In their opening game, Watling defeated Ashley Howard () 6-5, then went on to lose 7-4 against Flaxey. Watling responded with a 9-8 win over Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB). Watling won 9-4 against Alyssa Calvert (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
Watling earned 16.216 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the DEKALB Superspiel. Watling move up 9 spots after posting a net gain of 12.701 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 51st overall with 80.016 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
