Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN) won 7-6 over Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, SWE) in the Final of the FORD World Womens Curling Championship, held March 17 - 25, 2018 in North Bay, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Jones won 9-7 over Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA) in the semifinals of the FORD World Womens Curling Championship in North Bay, Canada;
Jones finished 12-0 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones defeated Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) 11-5, then won 10-5 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) and 8-1 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Jones won 9-5 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN), then won 10-5 against Angelina Jensen (Hvidovre, DEN) and 8-6 against Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO). Jones won 8-4 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR), then won 8-4 against Hasselborg and 8-7 against Victoria Moiseeva (St. Petersburg, RUS). Jones won 14-6 against Diana Gaspari (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA), then won 8-5 against Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) and 8-5 against Sinclair in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the FORD World Womens Curling Championship Championship title, Jones earned 70.761 world rankings points. For week 33 of the event schedule, Jones did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jones ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
