Vasilyeva finished 3-1 in the 15 team Biosteel Oakville Fall Classic qualifying round, held September 8 - 10, 2017 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Canada. In their opening game, Vasilyeva defeated Daniela Jentsch (F�ssen , GER) 8-7, then won 10-3 against Jaimee Gardner (Ontario) and 10-5 against Ashley Waye (Toronto, ON). Vasilyeva went on to lose 6-5 against Christensen in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Biosteel Oakville Fall Classic Championship title, Vasilyeva earned 28.138 world rankings points along with the $2,250CDN first prize cheque. For week 5 of the event schedule, Vasilyeva did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Vasilyeva ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
