Middaugh finished 3-1 in the 16 team KW Fall Classic qualifying round, held September 22 - 25, 2016 in , . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Allison Flaxey (Ontario) 7-6, then went on to lose 6-2 against Un-Chi Gim (Gyeonggi-do, KOR). Middaugh responded with a 6-5 win over Brenda Holloway (Guelph, ON). Middaugh won 5-3 against Mallory Kean (Kitchener, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Middaugh earned 33.457 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 210.719 total points. Middaugh ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 56.930 points earned so far this season.
