Julie Hastings (Toronto, ON) won 6-5 over Jacqueline Harrison (Brantford, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 25 - 28, 2014 in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Hastings won 9-5 over Ontario's Erin Morrissey in the semifinals of the 2014 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; and won 7-6 over Ontario's Cathy Auld in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 KW Fall Classic in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario;
Hastings finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings defeated Ontario's Shannon Kee 5-4, then won 7-6 against Caitlin Romain (Vancouver, BC) and 6-5 against Russia's Olga Zharkova. Hastings won 6-5 against Amie Shackleton (St.Mary's, ON). Hastings went on to lose 6-2 against Harrison in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the KW Fall Classic Championship title, Hastings earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $3,200CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 16th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 55.611 total points. Hastings ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.385 points earned so far this season.
