Ogasawara finished 4-1 in the 32 team Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic qualifying round, held October 2 - 5, 2014 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. In their opening game, Ogasawara lost 7-6 to Sweeting, then responded with a 4-3 win over Sarah Wark (Victoria, BC). Ogasawara won 5-3 against Mary-Anne Arsenault (Halifax, NS), then won 7-4 against Dailene Sivertson (Victoria , BC) and 8-4 against Stephanie Prinse (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
