Sigurdson finished 3-0 in the 16 team DEKALB Superspiel qualifying round, held November 21 - 24, 2013 at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Canada. In their opening game, Sigurdson defeated Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB) 5-2, then won 4-2 against Marnoch and 4-3 against Hartung in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the DEKALB Superspiel Championship title, Sigurdson earned 4.750 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 86 spots the World Ranking Standings into 134th place overall with 7.375 total points. Sigurdson ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.625 points earned so far this season.
