Switzerland's Sven Michel 7-6, then won 8-2 against Hungary's Gyeorgy Nagy and 9-4 against Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Edin won 8-2 against Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil, then won 9-2 against Andreas Lang (Fuessen, GER) and 8-2 against Andrey Drozdov (Moscow, RUS). Edin went on to lose 9-5 against Denmark's Rasmus Stjerne. Edin responded with a 7-6 win over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). Edin won 7-6 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships Championship title, Edin earned 45.000 world rankings points. For week 18 of the event schedule, Edin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Edin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
