Brock Virtue (Regina, SK) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Virtue lost 5-4 to Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB), then responded with a 8-4 win over Rob Iuvale (Victoria, BC). Virtue won 6-5 against Jason Montgomery (Duncan, BC). Virtue went on to lose 5-1 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Virtue lost 4-3 to Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 33 of the event schedule, Virtue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Virtue ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
