Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) lost 6-2 to Rui Wang (Beijing, CHN) in the Final of the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, held September 28 - October 1, 2023 at the Vernon Curling Club in Vernon, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Brown won 8-4 over Eun ji Gim (Uijeongbu, KOR) in the semifinals of the 2023 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-5 over Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2023 Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada;
Brown finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated Kelly Ellis (Richmond, BC) 9-2, then went on to lose 9-4 against Yu Han (Beijing, CHN). Brown responded with a 8-3 win over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI). Brown won 6-5 against Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic, Brown take home 22.000 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize. Brown move up 8 spots after posting a net gain of -2.824 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 24th overall with 129.473 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Brown ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 55.000 points earned so far this season.
