To advance to the championship game, Mouat won 5-2 over Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2020 Mercure Perth Masters in Perth, Scotland; and won 6-0 over Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2020 Mercure Perth Masters in Perth, Scotland;
 
Mouat finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mouat defeated Simon Gempeler (Adelboden, SUI) 7-1, then won 5-3 against Czech Republic's David Sik and 7-4 against Sergei Glukhov (Sochi, RUS). Mouat won 5-3 against Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO), then won 7-0 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oppdal, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Mercure Perth Masters Championship title, Mouat earned 52.603 world rankings points along with the $12,045CDN first prize cheque.
