To advance to the championship game, Muyres won 5-4 over Jason Gunnlaugson (Morris, MB) in the semifinals of the 2018 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada; and won 5-3 over Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 DEKALB Superspiel in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Muyres finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muyres defeated Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) 8-6, then won 5-3 against Dennis Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-3 against Walstad. Muyres won 6-1 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the DEKALB Superspiel, Muyres take home 38.489 world rankings points along with the $6,600CDN prize. For week 12 of the event schedule, Muyres did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
