Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) lost 7-4 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, held October 23 - 28, 2018 in Truro, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Koe won 6-5 over Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia; and won 6-4 over Matt Dunstone (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals.
 
Koe finished 4-0 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) 8-5, then won 8-3 against Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) and 7-1 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishe, ON). Koe won 8-2 against Mouat in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, Koe take home 63.181 world rankings points along with the $18,000CDN prize, remaining in 3rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 494.094 total points. Koe ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 206.011 points earned so far this season.
