John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 7-4 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final of the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling, held October 23 - 28, 2018 in Truro, Nova Scotia. To advance to the championship game, Epping won 8-3 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia; and won 9-5 over Ross Paterson (Glasgow, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Canadian Beef Masters of Curling in Truro, Nova Scotia;
 
Epping finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI) 7-5, then won 7-6 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Epping went on to lose 8-7 against Paterson. Epping responded with a 6-1 win over Edin in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Canadian Beef Masters of Curling Championship title, Epping earned 86.156 world rankings points along with the $30,000CDN first prize cheque. Epping move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 64.234 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 4th overall with 417.354 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Epping ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 221.617 points earned so far this season.
