Sayaka Yoshimura (Sapporo, JPN) won 5-1 over Erica Hopson (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Oakville Fall Classic, held August 30 - September 2, 2018 at the Oakville Curling Club in Oakville, Canada. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Yoshimura won 8-2 over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) to advance to the championship game. of the 2018 Oakville Fall Classic in Oakville, Ontario, Canada;

Yoshimura finished 4-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yoshimura defeated Hopson 6-1, then won 6-4 against Chrissy Cadorin (Thornhill, ON) and 6-0 against Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON). Yoshimura won 6-3 against Jo-Ann Rizzo (Tornto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Oakville Fall Classic Championship title, Yoshimura earned 30.968 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 20th place overall with 136.166 total points. Yoshimura ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 45.909 points earned so far this season.
