Epping finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epping defeated Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) 7-6, then went on to lose 7-3 against Howard. Epping responded with a 7-2 win over Mark Kean (Toronto, ON). Epping went on to lose 6-3 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB). Epping responded with a 5-3 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the GP Car and Home World Cup of Curling, Epping take home 27.000 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN prize, remaining in 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 176.023 total points. Epping ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 100.540 points earned so far this season.
