Sweeting finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweeting lost 7-6 to Liudmilla Privivkova (Moscow, RUS), then responded with a 8-7 win over Nicole Backe (Vancouver, BC). Sweeting won 7-1 against Kristy Lewis (Vancouver, BC), then won 10-2 against Desirée Schmidt (Vernon, BC) and 7-1 against Delia DeJong (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Sweeting earned 6.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Twin Anchors Invitational, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 24th place overall with 42.177 total points. Sweeting ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.090 points earned so far this season.
