McDonald went on to lose 5-1 against Andrew Stopera (Briarcliff Manor, NY). McDonald responded with a 4-2 win over Timothy Hodek (Fairdale, ND) in their final qualifying round match.

McDonald earned 1.528 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
