To advance to the championship game, Cotter won 8-3 over Sean Geall (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2018 Raymond James Kelowna Double Cash in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada; and won 8-1 over Wylie Eden (Kelowna, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Raymond James Kelowna Double Cash in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada;
Cotter finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter lost 7-3 to Adam Cseke (Penticton, BC), then responded with a 8-3 win over Deane Horning (Castlegar, BC). Cotter won 5-2 against Grant Dezura (Maple Ridge , BC), then won 7-3 against Tardi in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Raymond James Kelowna Double Cash Championship title, Cotter earned 22.267 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. Cotter move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 12.631 points improving upon their best 5 results so far this season, ranking 34th overall with 115.978 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
