Likewise, I don't see how Denmark misses the playoffs as their head to head record is so good against all the other potential 7-6 teams.

The Wikipedia page for this event has been surprisingly good and updated in real time. It shows Denmark as already qualified for the playoffs.
The draw shot results are also included in the table. United States apparently finished slightly ahead of Canada. South Korea has excellent numbers while Scotland is very poor. I don't see how Eve makes it.
Looks like Canada and United States both need Switzerland to defeat Germany.

Final 6
You are right. If Germany wins then Denmark, U.S. and Germany qualify. If Germany loses then I believe U.S., Denmark and Canada qualify.
If Germany loses I hope I am right but if Germany wins I hope someone can show me how I am wrong.

Last qualifier
If Scotland wins tonight Korea qualifies with DSC. If Scotland loses U.S. qualifies with win over Korea.
Right?

The 6 qualifiers are now determined. The games later on tonight only affect the order.

I actually like the telecast with restricted number of cameras. Always hated the "focus on thrower after delivery" shots. Like that there are more overhead shots. Sometimes less is better. The main thing is we have telecast of curling. Thank you to all that got this going again!!

I think both Korea and Scotland are out. The DSC only come into play on an unbreakable tie. The tie amongst the 7-6 teams can be broken due to their head to head records. Both Korea and Scotland have poor H2H amongst the 7-6 teams.
Denmark has the key game tonight. If they win then its 4 Denmark, 5 US, 6 Canada. If they lose, then I think its unbreakable between the three teams and does to DSC.

Totally agree about the "focus on thrower after delivery" comment. Just provide a shot of the rock's path sooner after it is thrown.

No matter what happens tonight, Germany, Korea and Scotland are locked into spots 6-9 for Olympic qualification purposes (ignoring China as host nation). The big implication is for Japan if the December qualification event is cancelled.

Good news for Manitoba & Canada w/ Einarson qualifying Canada for Olympics and still alive for quarter-final world action.
Bad news for Manitoba is 502 new cases of Covid-19 announced today.
If Nova Scotia or New Brunswick have 30 cases - they'd be declaring a provincial emergency!
You know something is wrong when your premier's name is Brian Palliative!
Haha 30 cases, Dougie “no golf for you” Ford can only dream of that number. Brian’s lucky there’s Dougie.

Kerri Einarson enters the playoffs as the #6 team
This is not a factual statement. It's a reasonable prediction, but this has not been decided yet.
If CAN is #6, then we can declare now that the 3v6 qualification game will be SWE vs CAN. This is probable, but is not actually the fact just yet. It's possible that CAN will be in 4v5 vs USA.

4v5 vs DEN is also possible. CAN is either #4, #5, or #6, depending on results of (postponed) Draw 7.

Who would've thought that after a 1-5 start Canada would have a chance to finish 4th? I think they will come out tomorrow like they are playing with house money and be the team that ransacked everyone for weeks whether they are 4, 5 or 6th.

The way GBR gets involved with hand picking teams, will Eve be on the team? Must be a huge disappointment to pay them to be full time curlers, that's all they do, and not qualify. Would have been worse for us if Canada did not qualify, but they have real jobs AND curl. Wait and see if Olympic qualifying changes or gets tweaked in the future to include Scotland/GBR. Always a conspiracy theorist/realist but we'll see.

Lol I was thinking the same thing as I watched China beat them last night.

Playoffs
Canada will have to curl from now on at a level we haven't seen this week, to go forward in the playoffs. However 2 weeks ago Einarson & co. beat all these teams. She can do it again.

They have been wholly out curled. Has the front end made a shot? First rock of the 6th is a corner guard attempt goes to back 8

Nedohin has more class in her left toe than you do in your body.
Grow up and stop being a d!ck.
Tremendous effort making playoffs.
Must be nice for Middaugh to choose $ and beating your own country rather than cheer for them.

Happy that they were able to qualify for the Olympics. In hindsight they should have passed on one of slams for mental and physical rest. Again, great to qualify. Way to battle back.

Tough pill to consume but Canada ended up about where they should have. Middle of the pack, squeezed into playoffs and swiftly got bounced. I'll leave it to others to speculate on the reasons.
On a brighter note, the Winter Olympic berth was the consolation prize.
Going forward, here's hoping the trials produces a tough-minded, resilient and skilled team to represent us at the Winter Olympics.
Question: Does Newfoundland have any women's team equivalent of Team Gushue?
And if so, Where ya to dere b'y?
(My advanced apologies to all Islanders)
