Because of advancements in artificial intelligence, it takes place and beat humans in this field. The topcvwritersuk uses a curling robot and new technology in order to provide quality stuff. Check these professional tips for more ideas.

Planes and cars move faster than humans. Guns shoot metal farther than shot-putters. None of that is impressive. The challenge with curling is using the human body to achieve the result.

But those things have nothing to do with AI.
Curling is supposed to be a cerebral sport, so an AI beating humans is quite impressive.
I was around when computers first started beating humans in chess, and those were remarkable achievement at the time. Even after machine surpassed human in chess, people still held out hope for Go, which was considered harder to crack by an AI. Well, guess, what? Now computers beat humans in Go too!!
According to Wikipedia, computers beat humans in checkers in 1995, in chess in 1997, but in Go only in 2017 two decades later!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Go
So even though people had long acknowledged that computers can do computations astronomically faster than humans, it still took decades before AI advanced enough to finally beat humans in Go, and now that we're there, those advancements are considered quite impressive in the bigger picture.
Comparing advancement in AI to guns shooting metal farther than Olympic shot-putters is highly disingenuous.

If I could curl 100% I'd beat Nik Edin 3/4 times, too, even if his strategy is better than mine.

Don't take this as an attack on curling or human curlers.
If it makes you feel better, we can consider this as purely computer vs computer battle. I think we should all be able to agree that it would be nice if curling can be added to Computer Olympiad.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_Olympiad
Currently, it includes/has included the usual suspect board games like chess and go, but there's also table games like poker and pool. I for one would love to see curling added eventually.

An interesting observation in the world of computer chess is that the best chess computers don't play like the best humans do.
It would be interesting, if we ever get to a point where we can have AIs compete against each other in curling, what those games would look like.
I have a hunch that they may also play very differently than curlers at the Olympics, and that prospect excites me.
Curling has a lot of so-called conventional wisdoms that later was proven to be untrue (e.g. down 1 with vs 1 up without). Imagine the revelations when the best AIs start to play curling against each other.
Again, this is not on attack on curling or curlers.
