Updating This Forum
While I believe it's safe to say that all of us who post in this Forum appreciate it, I think most would agree that the format is rather archaic and frustrating.
I can't even set very basic settings in the 'Thread View Options' of the Account Settings - whatever option I set and save is never retained. If I set it at 'yes' to show user's avatar, for example, or set 'yes' to show vBCode quick links, and then click on 'Save Modifications', nothing is saved - my 'yes' choices all revert back to 'no'.
With a more inviting Forum format, participation in this Forum would obviously increase. It will never be overwhelmingly busy - such is the nature of curling, and that's fine. But , as much as we appreciate and are thankful to have this Forum, it could be better and more enjoyable.
phpBB Forums are available essentially for free. With so little curling happening this winter, followed by summer, now would be a nice time to convert to a better Forum format. Perhaps a regular poster or two with some programming knowledge could help out.
